After finding out that hybrid working for his business was here for the long term, this client from Orpington in Greater London reached out to us as he was looking for a dedicated garden office space. After visiting the show centre to see the buildings and the various sizes of our Jay office, our second largest size of 2.9m x 2.5m became the best option. This offers a lot more space than is needed for a single person office but can double up as an extra room or man cave. Having already designed the garden and with a landscaper carrying out the work, we utilised them on site to carry out the base work with clear instructions from us.
Our Jay Pre-Designed Garden Office comes standard with a 10-year zero-maintenance guarantee. We achieve this by using high-specification materials, including MTX (Medite Tricoya Extreme) and cement board. All trims and faces are also made with MTX. The EPDM rubber roof and house-spec UPVC doors and windows complete the 10-year specification with a 50-year life expectancy.
The building is fully insulated and double-glazed, offering a warm, dry workspace year-round. This particular project features integrated blinds in the lower section of the windows and doors, as well as Louisiana Oak laminate flooring. The client chose to paint the interior himself, saving on costs while adding his personal touch to the space.
Martin Baker's comments:
“It was wonderful to return and hear how thrilled the client is with his office and how much he enjoys having a dedicated workspace. The anthracite-coloured building fits beautifully within the landscaped garden. I especially love the pop of green from the outdoor morning coffee table.”
