The Project
The customer wanted a garden room design that would complement their well-established garden, providing both a spacious entertainment area and additional storage for garden items. After an initial site survey, we discussed all aspects of their requirements. They opted for a sliding door building, which struck the perfect balance between garden integration and cost.
The Work
Our team installed a steel and timber frame base for the garden room, keeping the height under 2.5m to comply with planning regulations. During the survey, we also reviewed the electrical and sub-main requirements. The agreed size for the garden room was 14 x 10 feet, with an additional 5 x 10-foot storage area. The room featured 3.9-metre wide white UPVC sliding doors, and extra double doors were added to enhance the connection between the entertainment space and the garden. The internal finishes included painted MDF lining and timber laminate flooring.
As part of our full-service approach, we also installed the internal electrics and sub-main, which included a convector heater, four double sockets, internal LED downlights, and rear LED wall wash lights.
The Result
The completed garden room is both a functional and stylish addition to the customer’s property. The spacious entertainment area, seamlessly connected to the garden via sliding and double doors, provides an inviting space for gatherings. The additional storage area meets the practical needs for housing garden items, keeping the overall space organised and uncluttered. With elegant internal finishes and integrated lighting and heating, the garden room is not only a beautiful extension of the garden but also a comfortable and versatile living space.
