The Project
Our clients were looking for a wooden office for their garden that could be used partly for business and as a storage area for their library as well as having a music area incorporated.
The area they had available was quite narrow, but after a site survey and a visit to our factory and show centre, where we have many buildings on display, it was agreed that there was still good usability in this 20x6 feet layout.
The Work
They liked the classic look of the Kestrel and the Jay, and as this was against a boundary we needed to keep the height under 2.5m. Therefore, a Pent building was the only option with this width. To keep the classic look, the design included log cladding and faces along with the Georgian windows, a combination of both Kestrel and Jay.
The Results
The building had the timber TGV lining and was double glazed and insulated to the four walls roof and floor. Since the roof could be seen from upstairs, we made this a feature by using a red diagonal tile. We then installed full electrics including the submain, heating, internet and phone connections.
Our clients were thrilled with the results of their new garden building and have been using the room daily.
